今回は明るい世界を持って来ましたよ。
この画集は画家・井上直久が、記憶の底にある風景を描いたものです。
どこかで見たことあるな？と思った方、そのとおりです。1995年のスタジオジブリ作品『耳をすませば』の背景として、これらが使われています。
鮮やかな色で描かれたこの世界はぜひ行ってみたい！
町並みには街道がしっかり描かれ、山水画のように絵の中を散歩できるのが嬉しいです。
ところで、それぞれの絵の下には『イノウエナオヒサ』とサインがありまして、そのサイズで実物の大きさを想像できるのも地味に良いと思います。

I’ve brought you a bright world this time.
This collection of paintings by artist Naohisa Inoue depicts landscapes from the depths of my memory.
Where have I seen that before? If you think so, you are right: these were used as the background for the 1995 Studio Ghibli film “Whisper of the Heart”.
I’d love to visit this world, all painted in vibrant colors!
The streets are well drawn in the townscape, and it is a pleasure to take a walk through the paintings as if they were landscape paintings.
By the way, each painting is signed “イノウエナオヒサ” below, and I think it is also good that you can imagine the real size of the painting by its size, which is also very sobering.

あ、人材派遣事業部の者です。
今回はアフターヒューマンっぽい絵画を描いていた1929年ポーランド産まれの画家、ズジスワフ・ベクシンスキーの画集です。
核戦争でもあったかと思わせる廃墟、煙る空、不気味なオブジェクト。
この画集にはハードSF好きが見たかった風景が描かれてます。
不思議と美しいこの絵をもっと見たい！となるところですが、残念ながら彼は妻も息子も亡くしたあと2005年に知人に殺されます。
アフターヒューマン世界で家族と幸せに暮らせてることを願っています。
Afterhuman A place I don’t want to go, “BEKSINSKI”.
Oh, I am from the staffing division.
This time, it is a collection of paintings by Zdzislaw Beksinski, a painter born in Poland in 1929, who painted after-human-like paintings.
Ruins, smoky sky, and eerie objects that make you think there was a nuclear war.
This collection of Beksinski’s paintings depicts landscapes that hard science fiction enthusiasts have always wanted to see.
I would love to see more of these strangely beautiful paintings! Unfortunately, he was killed by an acquaintance in 2005 after the death of his wife and son.
I hope he is living happily with his family in the after-human world.

主観的アフターヒューマンといえば死後です。
SFと言わず、様々なジャンルで死後が語られていますが、日本人作家・夢枕獏はインド仏教からアプローチしています。
1980年代のある写真家が東京の螺旋階段をア・バオ・ア・クゥーとともに登り始めたのと同刻に、1930年代の岩手県の宮沢賢治が病床から螺旋の奥へ引き込まれました。
そこから、彼(彼ら)の永遠で刹那な螺旋を巡る旅が始まるのです、、、。
何を言ってるのかわからない文章ですが、そうとしか言えない強いSFチカラが満ちている作品です。
ちなみに、作者のセルフパロディ『上段の突きを食らう猪獅子』は趣味全開のプロレス小説となってまして、こちらも唯一無二のよくわからん面白い話です。

After Human: Reincarnation Science Fiction “The Lion that Feeds on the Waxing Moon”

Speaking of subjective after-human, it is after death.
Not to mention science fiction, the afterlife is discussed in various genres, but Japanese writer Baku Yumemakura approaches it from the perspective of Indian Buddhism.
At the same time that a photographer in the 1980s began to climb the spiral staircase of Tokyo with A Bao a Ku, a poet in Iwate Prefecture in the 1930s was drawn from his sickbed into the depths of the spiral.
From there, his (their) eternal and ephemeral journey through the spiral begins,….
I don’t know what I is talking about, but I can only say that it is a work full of strong SF power.
Incidentally, the author’s self-parody, “Jodan no tsuki wo kurau inoshishi” is a professional wrestling novel with a full range of hobbies, which is also a uniquely interesting story that I don’t understand.

SFは海外勢が強く、日本人がSFを読んでみようと思っても文体や文化の違いで読むのがキツくなることが多いです。
その中で大原まり子氏は日本文学の恋愛観をうまくSFへ落とし込んであり、とても読みやすく書かれています。
この話に出てくる時間工事課には江戸時代の造り酒屋のおじさんから、3002年の軍人、4000年代の、、、と非常に歴史スケールの大きな人たちがいて、無感情でありながら愛着を持って生命の歴史を俯瞰しています。
主人公は1988年恋人と交通事故に遭った瞬間2018年にタイムリープし、この時間工事課に追われることになります。
主人公(個)に感情移入しながらも、地球の過去から未来に続く生命の歴史(全)に揺さぶられる作品です。
この小説の刊行は1998年ですが、そのとき2018年ってものすごく未来的に見えたんでしょうね (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
そんなことも考えながら読んでみてくださいね。
Timeless Imagination, “Time leaper”.
Oh, I am from the staffing division.
Science fiction is strongly foreign, and even if Japanese people try to read science fiction, it is often hard for them to read due to differences in writing style and culture.
In this situation, Mariko Ohara has successfully incorporated the romantic view of Japanese literature into science fiction, making it very easy to read.
The Time Construction Division in this story has people on a very large historical scale, from a sake brewer’s uncle in the Edo period to a soldier in the year 3002, in the 4000s, and so on, and they overlook the history of life with emotionless yet affectionate feelings.
The main character time leaps to the year 2018 at the moment of a car accident with her lover in 1988, and is pursued by the Time Construction Division.
This is a work in which we are emotionally involved with the main character (individual), but are also swayed by the history of life (all) that continues from the past to the future of the earth.
This novel was published in 1998, but at that time, 2018 must have seemed very futuristic 🙂
Please read this book with that in mind.

アフターヒューマンSF3冊目は一度は聞いたことある有名作家、筒井康隆です。
彼はアイデアとバイオレンスをユーモアで包むのが上手いと思ってますが、この作品もそうです。
最初の人類滅亡から何千年も、世界がダメになっていく様子が悲しく描写されています。
でも、どこか優しさを感じるのは登場人物の言葉遣いがあるから。
筒井康隆、すごいです。
日本版140ページ足らずの短編ながら、読み終わりの脱力感は長編のよう。
手に入りやすいので、読んでみてくださいね！
Afterhuman famous science fiction “The Future of Illusion
Ah, I am from the staffing division.
The third book of After Human SF is by a famous author, Yasutaka Tsutsui, whom you may have heard of at least once.
I think he is good at wrapping ideas and violence with humor, and this one is no different.
It sadly describes how the world has been ruined for thousands of years since the first human extinction.
But there is a sense of tenderness because of the characters’ language.
Yasutaka Tsutsui, you are amazing.
Although the Japanese version is a short story of less than 140 pages, the sense of weakness at the end of the book is like that of a full-length novel.
It’s easy to get hold of, so go ahead and read it!

人類になにかあったあとのSF、第2弾です。
古めかしい表紙が時代を感じさせますが、それもそのはず。1976年の装丁であり、この話自体は1952年アメリカ初出です。
しかし、(多くのSF作品がそうであるように)ストーリーはまったく古びず現代でも異彩を放つスゴイもの。
この話は文明をもった犬たちが仔犬に聞かせるお伽噺を、犬の歴史学者が考察しているという体裁で書かれています。
【人間ってなに？】【犬は人間に文明を教わったの？】【星ってなに？】、
その質問に対して犬は【これはただのお伽噺】【犬は自分で進化した】【ただの光る小さい石】返事します。
読んでるこちらは人間なので、なぜ人間が消え犬が文明を持ったのか、歴史ミステリを読むように楽しめます。
まさか、木星にそんな秘密があったなんて、、、！
After Human wonderful science fiction “City”
Oh, I am from the staffing division.
This is the second science fiction book after something happened to mankind.
The old-fashioned cover gives a sense of age, but that’s because it was bound in 1976, and the story itself was first published in the U.S. in 1952.
However, (like many science fiction books), the story is not old-fashioned at all, and is still unique and amazing even today.
The story is written in the style of a fairy tale told by civilized dogs to their pups and examined by a canine historian.
What is a human being? Did dogs learn civilization from humans? What are the stars? ,.
To these questions, the dog replies, “This is just a fairy tale,” “The dog evolved on its own,” and “It’s just a shiny little rock.
Since we are human readers, we can enjoy reading the story as if we were reading a historical mystery, wondering why humans disappeared and dogs became civilized.
I never thought there was such a secret on Jupiter!

ポピュラーなのはロボットとか移民してきた宇宙人とか。
アニメマンガのクールジャパン代表は私的にはコレです。
『猫の地球儀 焔の章・幽の章』
この本では、地球の衛星軌道にあるコロニーに住む、アンテナを持ち電波通信ができる猫たちが主人公です。
彼らは人間に似たロボットを使役していますが、人間を知りません。
かろうじて彼らの宗教で存在が示唆される程度です。その教えでは保守が大事にされ革新派は厳しく罰せられます。
そんななか、遥か昔から地球を目指してロケットを作り続けている猫もいます。それが重大な異端と知りながら、、、。
閉じられた世界を猫視点でユーモアある描写にしつつ、決して甘くない最後には感動とというか、なんというか、とにかく良いですよ！
After Human kawaii science fiction 『Cat’s Globe』

There are quite a few science fiction stories that are told by other intelligent beings after something has happened to mankind.
Popular ones include robots and immigrant aliens.
In my opinion, this is the representative of Cool Japan in anime and manga.
Cat’s Globe: Chapter of Homura and Chapter of Kasuka
The main characters in this book are cats living in a colony in satellite orbit around the earth that have antennas and can communicate by radio waves.
They are served by human-like robots, but they do not know humans.
Their existence is barely hinted at in their religion. In their teachings, conservatism is valued and innovators are severely punished.
In the midst of all this, there is a cat that has been building rockets to reach the earth since long ago. Although he knows it is a serious heresy,…
The book humorously depicts the closed world from a cat’s point of view, but the not-so-sweet ending will leave you with mixed feelings, not to mention a sense of excitement!

SF小説にはいろいろなジャンルがありまして、この『百万年の船』は、実際の歴史の裏でSF的なすごいことが、、、という【大河SF】です。
始まりは紀元前310年古代ギリシャ、そこから世界のさまざまな地域に話が移ります。
なかには1221年の日本もあり、土御門上皇に仕える女官が後の重要人物となっていきます。
1975年アメリカの次、最後の章は？年。
人類がどんな歴史を未来につなげていくか、気になってきたのではないでしょうか？
①~③を並べると一枚の絵になるのもとてもステキです。

It’s been a while since I introduced a book to you.
There are various genres of science fiction novels, and this “The Million-Year Ship” is a “big science fiction” story about an amazing science fiction-like event that took place behind the scenes of actual history.
The story begins in 310 B.C. in ancient Greece and moves to various parts of the world.

でも、【友達100人つくらないと人類滅亡】だとしたらどうですか？
この本の主人公(36歳・小学校教諭)は、地球侵略してきた宇宙人からの試験で子供時代にタイムスリップします。
小学生のときって友達つくりやすいですよね？という宇宙人の計らいです。
主人公が、忘れてしまった友達のつくりかたに四苦八苦したり、大人の視点から改めて気付いたりと、どんどん優しい人になっていくのが魅力です。
自分もこうだったなーと懐かしくなる、大人こそ楽しめるマンガです。
奥さんの子供時代に会いにいく話、すごく良いですよ！

Hi, I’m from the temporary staffing division.
Do you have any friends?
When you grow up, you don’t think about friends, and you don’t have any to begin with…
But what if it’s “make 100 friends or the human race will die”?
The main character of this book (a 36-year-old elementary school teacher) is sent back in time to her childhood as a result of a test by aliens who have invaded the earth.
The alien’s plan is that it would be easier to make friends in elementary school. This is the alien’s plan.
The appeal of this story is that the main character struggles with how to make friends, which he has forgotten, and becomes a kinder and gentler person as he realizes this from an adult’s perspective.
This is a manga that adults can enjoy, as it makes them nostalgic for a time when they were like this.
The story about going to see his wife’s childhood is really good!

スマホもSNSもない時代から、センスあるヒトは色々発信してまして。
ウェブやぎの目やotearai webなど個人ブログ大公開時代でした。
そのなかのひとつ、『テーマパーク4096』というサイトのブログが2005年に書籍化されました。
おもむろに鎧を買ってコンビニに行く話、海まで徒歩5分なのにツライことがあっても特に海に行かない話など、著者の括約筋のようにゆるいコラムが満載で、図らずにせわしない現代社会へのアンチテーゼになっていますね。
現在でもTwitterで呟く小野法師丸氏 @houshimaru を是非チェックしてみてください。
個人的には、『狐をつまんでみた』がオススメです。
令和4年に、平成17年の本について話す。
こういうスタンスで良いと思うのだ。
Net Reign Legacy Column “Column Breathless”
Hi, I’m from the staffing division.
Since the days when there were no smartphones or social networking services, people with good sense have been sending out various messages.
It was a time when personal blogs such as Web Yagi no Me and otearai web were open to the public.
One of these blogs, “Theme Park 4096,” was published as a book in 2005.
It is full of loose columns like the author’s sphincter, such as the story of buying armor and going to a convenience store without thinking, or the story of not going to the beach even though it is a five-minute walk from the beach.
Please check out Mr. Hoshimaru Ono @houshimaru who still tweets on Twitter.
Personally, I recommend “I Pinched a Fox”.
In 2022, I will talk about the book in 2005.
I think this is a good stance to take.
